MASHIUR KHAN, MD

PSYCHIATRIST

Mashiur Khan, MD began his employment with Childplace in 2014. He is a graduate of the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He completed his general psychiatry residency through the University of Louisville, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. He completed his child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship through the University of Louisville, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science. He has experience in working with children, adolescents, adults and families. Dr. Khan is also a board-certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist.

MELISSA WILSON, LCSW

CLINICAL SERVICES PROGRAM SUPERVISOR

Melissa began her employment with Childplace in 2012. She received her MSSW through the University of Louisville. She has served in multiple roles within the agency and started her current position in 2015. She has her certification in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Melissa has completed the Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner training. She has experience in working with children and adolescents who have experienced trauma, experienced foster care and children and adolescents who have been adopted.

LISA RUSHER, LCSW, MAC

THERAPIST

Lisa began her employment with Childplace in 1998. She received her MSSW through the University of Louisville. Lisa has her certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy. She has completed the University of Louisville’s Juvenile Sexual Offender Counselor Certification Program. Lisa also has received the title of Master Addiction Counselor through the National Certification Commission for Addiction Professionals.

KIRK ROGGENKAMP, LCSW

THERAPIST

Kirk began his employment with Childplace in 2005. He received his MSSW through California State University at Long Beach. He has a Master of Science in Education through the University of Louisville. Kirk has his certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy. He has also completed the University of Louisville’s Juvenile Sexual Offender Counselor Certification Program. Kirk has many years of experience working in an outpatient therapy setting.

SUSAN ROBINSON, LCSW, LMFT

THERAPIST

Susan began her employment with Childplace in 2010. She received her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Indiana University. She obtained her LCSW and LMFT license in 1993. She also has her certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Susan has extensive previous experience working in private practice and community based services.

EMILY KING, LSW

THERAPIST

Emily began her employment with Childplace in 2011. She started working in Childplace Residential Program as front line staff. She later transitioned to an administrative role in Childplace Counseling Program. In 2018 Emily graduated with her MSSW from the University of Louisville and transitioned to the role of therapist within Childplace Counseling Program. Emily enjoys working with children, adolescents and adults. She also is interested in utilizing mindfulness techniques with her clients.
