You will be responsible for collaborating with the maintenance team to accomplish the basic upkeep and repair of the buildings and grounds on Childplace's campuses (in Jeffersonville and Sellersburg, IN), where we work with children and adolescents with histories of trauma, behavioral issues, and emotional challenges. Because of your proximity to children, a person in this role must be able to pass multiple background checks. Your role will include general maintenance tasks such as painting, landscaping, restocking supplies, moving furniture, washing and refueling vehicles, drywall patching, and other maintenance tasks. Basic knowledge or familiarity with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry are a plus.
Compensation
Starting pay for the role is $20.00/hour.
Childplace reimburses Kentucky residents for tolls.
Qualifications
Upon hire, candidates will need to complete a tb screening, basic employment physical, and drug screen, in addition to a driving record search to determine eligibility to be placed on the agency's auto insurance.

Job Responsibilities
A person in this role will be responsible for performing maintenance, upkeep, and repairs, as assigned by the agency’s Maintenance Supervisor. Tasks include, but are not limited to, patching and painting walls, landscaping (including mowing), restocking supplies, washing and refueling vehicles, moving furniture, and other general maintenance tasks on the agency's two campuses (Jeffersonville, IN & Sellersburg, IN). This role will primarily work on the Jeffersonville campus, but may also have scheduled times, days, or projects on the agency’s Sellersburg campus. This person will work alongside the agency's Maintenance team and should be able to work both as part of a team and independently.
No experience necessary, though applicant should have a general aptitude for basic household maintenance; on-the-job training is provided. Successful candidates will be able to take direction well and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
