Through A Donation

Childplace would not be here without the generous contributions of countless individuals, churches, and other organizations.

As a not-for-profit agency, Childplace counts on the monetary and in-kind support of numerous individuals, families, churches, businesses, organizations, etc. There are many ways to support Childplace financially, some of those ways are outlined below. Childplace is a 501(c)(3), non-profit agency, so all gifts are tax-deductible.

In addition to special contributions throughout the year, many churches have given to Childplace on a monthly or annual basis since the 1960s.

Memorial Gifts

Many individuals send monetary gifts on the occasion of the death of a loved one or friend. A list of memorial gifts is printed in the Childplace Newsletter. In addition, a certificate of recognition is provided to individuals identified by the donating person or entity affirming that a gift was made in memory of the person. Actual monetary amounts donated are not disclosed.

Planned Giving

Planned giving provides a way to leave a legacy. Many individuals have designated Childplace as a beneficiary in their will or established a trust to benefit Childplace for years to come. If you have included Childplace in your will, please make sure you inform us, so that we may provide you with a “Childplace Leave a Legacy” plaque for you.

Honor Gifts

Individuals send monetary gifts to honor and celebrate a person’s birthday, retirement, anniversary, significant event, or special achievement. A list of honorees is printed in the Childplace Newsletter. In addition, a certificate of recognition is provided to individuals identified by the donating person or entity affirming that a gift was made in honor of the person. Actual monetary amounts donated are not disclosed.

Kroger Community Awards

For people who shop at Kroger, you can register on Kroger’s website to support Childplace. Click here and search for Childplace (2420 E. 10th St., Jeffersonville, IN 47130). Enrollment is Sept. 1-Aug. 31, annually, and re-enrollment is necessary each August (1st -31st). Upon registration, activation may take up to 10 days. Participation will not affect fuel points, and Kroger limits each household's contribution to $300 per quarter. If participants have been supporting another organization, they can change their non-profit choice at any time.
