RESIDENTIAL YOUTH WORKER

What we need you to do:

A Residential Youth Worker (RYW) is responsible for meeting the direct care needs of residents by supervising, assisting, and providing intervention (as needed) for youth (ages 10-20) in one of Childplace’s Residential Treatment programs. RYWs are expected to model positive relationship skills by joining clients in the completion of daily living tasks as well as other recreational and therapeutic activities.

Compensation:

  • Starting pay is $15/hour PLUS+
  • $2.00/hr shift differential for 2nd shift (M-F, 3pm-11pm)
  • $4.00/hr shift differential for weekends (Friday 11pm to Sunday 11pm)

These are the qualifications we are looking for:

  • Minimum of 21 years of age;
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, additional education or professional training preferred;
  • Ability to pass multiple criminal background checks;
  • Ability to sustain moderate physical activity;
  • Ability to work effectively and compassionately with children;
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Weekly Schedule:

Full and part-time opportunities are available. Second and third shift positions available with some weekend shifts required. Flexible scheduling to accommodate school pursuits or other family and life commitments is offered.
