RESIDENTIAL YOUTH WORKER/DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL

What we need you to do:

A Residential Youth Worker (RYW)/Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for meeting the direct care needs of residents by supervising, assisting, and providing intervention (as needed) for youth (ages 10-20) in one of Childplace’s Residential Treatment programs. RYW/DSPs are expected to model positive relationship skills by joining clients in the completion of daily living tasks as well as other recreational and therapeutic activities.

Compensation:

  • Starting pay is $16/hour PLUS+
  • $2.00/hr shift differential for 2nd shift (M-F, 3pm-11pm)
  • $4.00/hr shift differential for weekends (Friday 11pm to Sunday 11pm)

These are the qualifications we are looking for:

  • Minimum of 21 years of age;
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, additional education or professional training preferred;
  • Ability to pass multiple criminal background checks;
  • Ability to sustain moderate physical activity;
  • Ability to work effectively and compassionately with children;
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Weekly Schedule:

Full and part-time opportunities are available. Second and third shift positions available with some weekend shifts required. Flexible scheduling to accommodate school pursuits or other family and life commitments is offered.
